Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Asheville with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in North Carolina may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.
Hours are published for 3 days a week. Typical hours are 12β6 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach High Climate Tea Company at (828) 505-4771; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is highclimatetea.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Asheville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A truly unforgettable night as my friend and I peered into the shop to simply admire it at 10pm. Hunter graciously welcomed us in even when it was way past close and we were blown away by his generosity, his personal journey, and infectious passion for tea. I canβt wait to return with my family and enjoy tea together again!

The boss took a good hour with us today just to demonstrate the whole range from white tea to puerh tea all the way! Impromptu! We had fun and enjoyed the pearls of knowledge he had to share with us. Here is a demo right when I got home at my tea tray, Gong fu style, sampling a milk Oolong, the scented kind. I also got Sticky Rice Raw Puerh and Jasmine Jade Green. You're lucky Asheville to have a real Chinese and Taiwanese tea connoisseur! Wish we had a tea club in my hipster town of Georgia! If you need clay tea pots and Gaiwans, he had that too!

I wish I could give this tea house more stars! My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience while visiting Asheville for my birthday. The owner has an incredible knowledge and we enjoyed getting the opportunity to try so many different types of tea. If you like sticky rice, they have a tea that literally tastes exactly like it! It is the puerh coins, and I bought at least 20 of them to have a stock back home. Overall, we had a really lovely tea tasting and the environment was so pleasant. I will definitely be back next time we visit Asheville to stock up on more tea! β€οΈ

Walked in while other tea flights were in process, customized our tea flight (tried at least 9 types of tea in a short period of time! 1 to decide whether to buy it), and learned lots in the process. Amazing experience I'd recommend to anyone interested in tea. Also after the tea flight ($20 for 30 min, though I think we stayed much longer than that!), I liked how flexible he was with letting us buy small quantities to-go.

High Climate Tea in Asheville was honestly one of the most unexpected and life-changing experiences Iβve had. My girlfriend surprised me with this trip for me and my family. I originally thought we were going for an English tea sitting, but it turned into a Chinese tea classβ¦ and wow β the miracle I never knew I needed. She must have been reading my soul because this experience unlocked something in me. The atmosphere is incredible β very authentic Far East Chinese vibe that immediately pulls you into the culture and history of tea. The host was phenomenal. You can instantly tell tea isnβt just a job for him β itβs his passion, his craft, his life. Being surrounded by someone that knowledgeable and by other people who are just as passionate about tea is what really sold me. As he started explaining the teas, I felt like a massive rabbit hole opened β in the best way possible. I visited about a month ago and Iβm already an official tea enthusiast. Pu-erh has me hooked, and I find myself constantly thinking about oolong β especially the sweet Iron Goddess of Mercy. Since visiting, Iβve already purchased my own tea set, a gaiwan (of course), and even a tea pet. Iβm fully ready to keep
